Carol's Mum

Created by Maria 8 months ago
From about the age of 5, when we met at Roebuck Infants School, Carol and I became BF's. And because of this I was often a visitor at Carols house, with Mum Edna, Dad Bernie and little sister Sandra. My memories of those days are of fun, laughter, acceptance and Edna's cooking especially the butterfly cakes. I remember sheet tents, sleep overs, birthday parties and Edna's dinners. Edna had a stoic determination, a great love and sense of duty to her family. In truth the Scripps were my second family, until I left at age 13 to go to live in Australia. As a mother, and now Nonni myself I see that Edna was the glue that held the family together, I know how much she was loved and will be missed. Rest in peace Edna love Maria xx
